Amy Linscott DeVita, age 59, of Hoboken passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning. Amy was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
She was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts and lived in Bergen County and Greenwich Village before moving to Hoboken. She worked in sales for many years in the garment industry, and as an interior decorator.
Amy is survived by her loving husband, Richard DeVita, her father, William, her mother, Dally, brothers, Jeff and Chris, friends she made in every facet of her too short life, and her two adored Siamese cats Perry and Cornelia.
Amy LOVED life – the beach, anywhere, especially St. John, hiking and cross skiing in Lake Placid, traveling to Spain & Italy, and being the perfect chef and host, and wife.
Visitation will be offered this Saturday, August 15 from 2 to 6 pm with a service following at the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, 631 Washington Street, Hoboken, New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, which has been set up for a donation to Amy. Please look on Amy’s Facebook page for further information.
