Robert Patrick Culhane, born and raised in Hoboken, later moving to Monroe, NJ passed away peacefully Tuesday night Robert was 68. He attended Wallace Grammar School and graduated from Hoboken High School where he excelled as a student and baseball player.  Robert went on to play club lacrosse at Fairleigh Dickenson University and graduated with a degree in engineering at the young age of 20. He had a passion for team sports, writing, art, and anything mechanical. He was also an avid reader and loved the great outdoors. Robert especially valued spending time with his old-time Hoboken friends.  He is predeceased by his father John Culhane, and his mother Muriel (nee Day), brother Jack and sister-in-law Dorothy Culhane. Robert is survived by his loving brother William Culhane sister-in-law Deborah, and sister-in-law Susan, nieces and nephews John, Chris, and Erin Culhane. Bob’s great nieces and nephews now span 5 generations in his hometown of Hoboken. Funeral mass for Robert will be offered on Friday 9:30 AM at the St Peter & Paul RC Church Hoboken. In lieu of flowers and cards please make contributions in Bob’s memory to the Melanoma Research Foundation ( MRF ).
