Catherine LaPaglia, 100, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning surrounded by her loving family at the St. Vincent’s Nursing Home in Cedar Grove NJ.

Catherine was a life-long Hoboken resident who was well known in the community as a respected former owner of the LaPaglia Florist located for many years at 160 First Street here in Hoboken before retiring about 15 years ago.

Catherine is wife of the late Sal LaPaglia, she had 2 brothers, Michael, and William Pierro and one sister, Rose, all deceased. Catherine is survived by her loving Nephews and Nieces, Vincent LaPaglia, Joseph LaPaglia, David Pierro, Anthony Pierro, Rosemary and Christine Pierro, Anthony Villani, Patricia Turse, Roseanne LaPaglia and their families.

Visitation for Catherine will be on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, on 7th and Washington Sts., Hoboken. Parking in rear of funeral home on 7th St. Catherine will also have a Funeral Mass on Monday at 9:30 AM at the St. Peter & Paul RCC in Hoboken with her entombment immediately following at the Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ.
