Robert “BOB” B. Van Ingen, Sr. passed away early Thursday morning unexpectedly after a brief illness at the Hackensack University Hospital. Bob was born in Hoboken and was a life-long resident there before retiring to Saddle Brook almost 20 years ago. Bob was well known in the Hoboken Community as a Supervisor for the Hoboken Water Dept.  and United Water for many years as well as coaching in the Little League and his positions held in both the Hoboken Knights of Columbus and The Hoboken Elks Lodge # 74. Bob will also be sorely missed in Saddle Brook where he was active as a Crossing Guard for the Saddle Brook Board of Education. Robert is survived by his Beloved wife Grace Van Ingen (nee Dell’ Aquila), his loving daughter Rosary Van Ingen, and loving son Robert Van Ingen, Jr.  Visitation for Bob will be on Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home 633 Washington St. Hoboken. His funeral Mass will be on Monday at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Church in Hoboken with his interment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery N. Arlington NJ.
