Catherine Develin – July 21, 2020

Catherine Develin, 56, of Hoboken, passed away on July 21, 2020.

Born to James and Margaret Develin on June 23, 1964, Catherine grew to carry a love for the outdoors, appreciating nature and animals. She also was passionate in her enjoyment of biking and made all feel welcome who visited her home. A loving mother, to James Develin, Meghan Sudziarski, and Zigmund Sudziarski, Catherine nurtured her family through the years and welcomed her grandchildren in equal joy.

Catherine rejoins her loving parents, and dear siblings, Daniel Develin and Grace Weyouche in the hearts of her family. Her memory will be honored by her beloved children James, Meghan, and Zigmund, as well as her dear siblings, Mary Gonzalez, Margaret Smith, and Patricia Crusco, her cherished grandchildren, James Jr. and David Develin, and many other dear cousins, nephews, and nieces.


Visitation for Catherine will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at Lawton-Turso Funeral Home in Hoboken (633 Washington Street, corner of Washington and Seventh, parking on Seventh). A Funeral Mass will follow immediately after at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken (400 Willow Street, Corner of Willow and Fourth Streets). Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.

For the safety of in-person attendees and our staff, gatherings at Lawton-Turso Funeral Home will currently follow the latest guidelines as described here: 

  • All people attending must wear a mask while inside and around the outside of the funeral home. 
  • For safety, the number of attendees indoors will be limited to 50 attendees at a time at the discretion of the management. 
  • All attendees must practice social distancing while paying their respects.

  2. I love you aunt cathy…and I will miss you so much. Our great talks and especially all the laughter and your stories were the best..gone to soon but I gained another guardian angel. Watch over us now and protect us from above. You rest…✌Ac…that was her famous line after each text..

  5. My heart is broken to know that cathy is no longer with us .cathy was one of the nicest people you can ever meet . Cathy was a talker but she knew what she was talking about. Always had a smile one her face .cathy I’m going to miss are talks and you telling me marilyn your going to be ok. Cathy rest easy my dear friend. You may be gone but in my heart you will stay.

  7. Love u Aunt Cathy!!!! Thanks for being there for me in my tough times just recently. It was so awesome to be able to be able to see you when Nellie and I were up there the recently. You were definitely full of love and laughter and will forever be missed. Your memories will forever live inside each and every person you made laugh and I know that was just about anyone and everyone . Gone way too soon , but they say only the good die young!
