Miguel A. Torres – August 12, 2020

Miguel A. Torres, 60, of Hoboken, passed away on August 12, 2020.

Born September 9, 1959, to Gladys & Miguel Torres, in Brooklyn, NY, Miguel or “Junior” (as he was more affectionately known as) enjoyed playing sports as a child. In 1967, he moved to Hoboken and it was there that he met his love and happily married his partner in life, Jackie.

As a proud father, he took great interest in developing his love in sports and even coached The Milne Boys & Trilogy Little League Baseball Teams in Hoboken.  He dedicated many years to his career as a Machine Operator and always took time to root for his home teams, The NY Yankees, The NY Giants and The NY Rangers.  He also enjoyed the simpler things in life, like camping, sitting on his patio and humming along to his favorite tunes on WCBS 101.1.

He is survived by his wife Isabel “Jackie” Torres, his siblings Annie & Wilson “Cano” Torres, his four children Miguel, Jazmine, Jason, and Nadine Torres, and his beloved grandchildren Jazalyn, Joziah, Isias, and Soleil. He is also survived by his loving extended family including his father-in-law, Eduardo Guzman (Father In Law), and his cousins: Marisol, Tito, Moses, Edgar, Derek, Alex, Cuco, Ellie, Haydee, Evelyn, Lucy, Angelo, Andy, Awilda, Hector, and Charlie.

Miguel is preceded in death by his parents Gladys & Miguel Torres, and his mother-in-law, Esperanza Leon.
