Our beloved Michael A. Williamson Jr, 25, of Jersey City, NJ passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2021 at Jersey City Medical Center from traumatic injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born on April 4, 1996 to Michael A. Williamson Sr. & Ernestine (Cason) Carmichael.
Mike attended and graduated Dr. Maya Angelou Elementary School, PS #20 and Ezra L. Nolan Middle School PS #40 in Jersey City. He then attended Hoboken High School where he graduated in 2015. In 2018, Michael went on and graduated from Mobile Technical Institute. He received a certificate as a Mobile Electronic Certified Professional. Although young, Michael had a great work ethic. He worked at companies such as A&P, Enterprise, Amazon, & GardaWorld.
Michael had a passion and love for sports(especially football & his favorite team the Saints), cars/motorcycles, and video games. At an early age he was a part of PAL Little League Baseball and football teams of Jersey City and he was also a member of the Godlife Mentoring Program of Jersey City. He played middle school basketball and in high school played for the Hoboken Redwings football team as a running back, winning the championship game in the 2013-2014 season. He also bowled in various leagues throughout his childhood and adult life with his dad, sister, family and friends.
Michael was a very talented and creative artist. His drawing was once selected to be viewed on the NJ Path Train in his elementary years. Michael had a great ear for music and instruments, so much so that he taught himself how to play drums by ear. He had a tremendous passion for cars and motorcycles. His love for motorcycles led him to join and become a member of NFW Biker Club in the last year of his life. Michael also enjoyed movies and definitely his video games. He was always with his best friend Trevor, in fact was soon to be godfather to his child, his fiancée Tamia & family, his dog Skye, his sister Avi, cousins, family, friends, and always on the phone via FaceTime with his mom and little sisters.
Michael was a great all-around person that loved people, his family, and God. An amazing young man with an infectious smile and caring heart. Behind his quiet demeanor, was a man full of wit and humor. Michael lived a life that was determined, genuine and thoughtful. Even as a child Michael showed unconditional love and compassion, a trait that he continued to exhibit throughout the course of his life. Michael was a ray of light and a shining star to his family and friends. He touched and affected the life of everyone who encountered him. Whether being a peacemaker or just being supportive to those in his life, Michael knew what it meant to be his brother’s keeper and he lived that principle every day. He was truly a glimpse of God’s glory.
We know Michael is now with his maternal grandparents, Ernest & Carol Cason (Grandpa & Grandma), his Aunt Audra Joseph (Auntie Aud), and his great-Aunt Sally Williamson.
Michael will be greatly missed everyday by his father Michael A. Williamson Sr. (Tera), his Mother, Ernestine (Malachi), his three sisters, Aviana, Madison, & Aria, his stepsisters, Dejae, Layla, & Tyleah, his paternal grandparents, Johnny & Elaine Williamson (Papa & Nanu), his fiancée Timia Baez (and family), his favorite baby girl Skye (dog), his favorite cat Violet, his snake Remy, & bearded dragon Jupiter, all of his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, coaches, mentors, and many, many friends.
Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, July 9th from 9:00 AM – 11 AM and funeral services 11 AM at Zion Baptist Church, 521 Bramhall Avenue, Jersey City, NJ. A graveside remembrance will follow immediately after at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

Well Mikey, what can I say that hasn’t already been said about what an amazing young man you were. You were such a kind and loving addition to our blended families. You are now a permanent fixture and occupy quite a bit of real estate in all our hearts. I miss your lil mischievous grin that always made you look like you were up to something. I’ll miss looking for the perfect wm sweater for you every Christmas and the wave or curly hair battles you’d have with Timmy. Thank you for loving Timia and showing her unconditional love for almost a decade. You are sorely missed Mikey and will never be forgotten.
Peace and Love,
Carla “CiCi” (Mama #3)

It’s been almost 11 months in a few days but it still feels like yesterday when I had to say goodbye to you the morning of June 16, 2021 at the hospital after being there since late that night. I rubbed your curly hair and kissed your forehead, and said I love you and will miss you so very much! I hear your voice saying, ‘hey, and I love you. I miss our random conversations,. You, Reggie and Jr playing your hands up game in the house, and you use to always act like you were in the army on the floor shooting around the corners with make believe guns ( your hands). You guys playing dice for push ups and quarters. You all were such a force of testosterone in the house of two women and three men. My home has been divided not long after you son. Jr is almost a father, your fiancée, girlfriend, love of your life has her own place which should be yours as well but your pictures blaze the place!! I could go on and on about your infectious smile we miss, how you use to scare me with Remy (snake). So many memories I can write for days. I love and miss you daily son!! Our life will never be the same! Continue to rest in peace until we meet again soar baby boy soar and continue to watch over us.
