
Carmen M. Classen Guzmán, 78, of Hoboken, passed away on July 13, 2021.
Born on September 22, 1942 in Puerto Rico, to Felix and Esperanza Classen, Carmen moved with her family to Hoboken in 1952.
Carmen will be remembered as a loving and caring mother of Albert Guzmán and George Christopher Guzmán, devoted grandmother of Jonathan Zepeda Guzmán, Briana Denyse Guzmán, and Christopher Michael Guzmán, and cherished great-grandmother of Brooklyne G. Guzmán Morales, Julia Esperanza Clark, and Josiah Jorge Guzmán.
Carmen rejoins her loving spouse, George L. Guzmán, her dear parents, Felix and Esperanza, and her beloved siblings, Luz M. Pintor and José A. Classen in the embrace of God’s peace.
Visitation for Carmen will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lawton-Turso Funeral Home in Hoboken (633 Washington Street, Corner of Seventh & Washington Streets, Parking on Seventh). A Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hoboken (61 Monroe Street).

- All people attending must wear a mask while inside the funeral home
- For safety, the number of attendees indoors will be monitored by the management and may be limited to avoid overcrowding

It’s been many years since I’d seen Cambu but my memories of her will always be with me. As a kid in Hoboken I will always remember her welcoming me to her house and having a good time. You will be missed Cambu.
