Francisco Nicholas Mojica – June 30, 2021

Francisco Nicholas Mojica, 54, of Brooklyn passed away on June 30, 2021.
Born to Frank and Carmen Mojica on September 8, 1966, Francisco grew up in Brooklyn in a tight-knit family. After graduating from Brentwood High School-Ross on Long Island, Francisco set out to build his career following creative pursuits and focusing on health, fitness, and nutrition.

Francisco found his calling as an entertainer and worked as a model on TV and in print (including Sally Jesse, Geraldo Rivera, and Play Girl), as a dancer for music groups (including KLF), and competed as a bodybuilder in the 1980s. He also cherished his time working on LaLa’s Puerto Rican Kitchen food truck and was a beloved part of the community that he helped unite with great food.

It is said that people can tell much about a person by what they love, and Francisco measured his life in love, especially for his family, friends, culture, food, music, animals, and his community. He was a light of warmth and humor who will be remembered for the many smiles and laughter he brought to those around him.

Francisco’s memory will be honored by his family and friends including his loving partner Lisa Cartagena, and his beloved son, Devin James Mojica as well as his cherished siblings including Anna Stark, Robert Mojica, and Yvette Gonzalez, and many friends in his community.
