In addition to being an educated, accomplished man, Abbey was a gentle man. He was admired and respected by all who knew him. He was a welcoming person and to Abbey, no person was a stranger. He was a loving and devoted father. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his children. You could often find him joking and playing with one if not all, his children.
Abbey always had a deep faith. Even as a young man, he shared the word of God with children and adults at Sunday school and at Sunday services at church. He met his wife, Aderonke at one of these Sunday services. Aderonke and Abbey went on to have three children, Sarah, Samuel, and Timothy. Abbey took great care in raising their children so that each child had a very special relationship with their father.
Abbey is now at rest and has been reunited with his parents, Pa Ajigbotaje Omodara Ogunleye and Mrs. Oni Omodara Ogunleye.
Abbey’s memory will be honored by his beloved wife, Aderonke Veronica Ogunleye, his cherished children, including Sarah Tijesu Abiodun, Samuel Taiwo Abiodun, and Timothy Idowu Abiodun, as well as his five brothers and their families and his many dear family members and friends.
