Hector Juan Rojas, Jr., 65, of Hoboken, NJ, passed away on October 19, 2022.
Born to Hector Rojas Sr. and Hilda Rodriguez on October 27, 1956 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Hector and his family moved to Hoboken when he was two years old. Hector grew and attended Demarest Middle School, Hoboken High School, Stevens Institute, and DeVry Technical School. He worked at Bell & Howell/Kodak servicing various tele-communication machines and supervising equipment repairs.
Hector was known for having a mind for humor and loved reading novels, building computers, and playing video games as well as catching a game with the NY Knicks or NY Jets. He had an ear for music and could often be heard whistling along to his favorite tracks of R&B/soul music.
Hector’s memory will be honored by his loving wife Milagros “Cookie” Hernandez, and cherished children including daughter Lesley Hernandez, son Nelson Hernandez and daughter-in-law Odessa Hernandez. He rejoins his dear parents Hector Rojas Sr. and Hilda Rodriguez in the hearts of his family.
Visitation for Hector will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the Lawton Turso Funeral Home at 633 Washington Street, Hoboken (Corner of Washington and Seventh Streets, parking on Seventh). A prayer service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home.
