Susan McGorty, 65, of Hoboken, NJ passed away on January 1, 2023.
Susan was born on December 7, 1957 to Lorraine and Edward Madigan in New York city where she soon moved to Hoboken, New Jersey at an early age to be raised with her brothers and sisters.
Susan spent much of her time with family and friends. Susan did enjoy these times whether down the shore, up in the park but what she truly enjoyed was time just spent talking on the stoop with friends and family.
She travelled with her friends on cruises and vacations to various locations and laughed on the good times she shared with them.
Susan did get to fulfill and enjoy her lifelong dream of becoming a Mom. It was as she said, her greatest accomplishment!
Susan is survived by her loving daughter Shannon McGorty.
She is also survived by her devoted family members which include her siblings, Maureen Madigan, Edward Madigan, John Madigan and sister-in-law, Catherine, as well as her nieces and nephews including Nico Mazzo and his wife, Kaitlyn, and Kevin and Jason Madigan, as well as her loving Aunt Kathleen Sullivan and many dear cousins and friends.
Susan is predeceased by both her parents Lorraine and Edward Madigan as well as her dear and cherished sister Sharon Madigan.
Visitation for Susan will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Lawton Turso Funeral Home at 633 Washington Street, Hoboken (Corner of Washington and Seventh Streets, parking on Seventh). A Funeral Mass will be offered at St Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Weehawken (22 Hackensack Ave, Weehawken) on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:30 AM.
