John Kazmierski, 69, born in Hoboken and resided in Barnegat, NJ, passed away on January 22, 2023, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
John was born on July 7, 1953, to parents Vincent Kazmierski and Marie Jaccodine. He spent his formative and early adult years in Hoboken and later made a living in his beautiful home of Barnegat, NJ. He graduated from Hoboken High School, where he played one of his favorite sports, basketball. He later had his beloved son, Vincent J. Kazmierski. John owned a successful Roofing business, J&J Roofing, and developed long-lasting relationships with clients in Hoboken and the surrounding communities. John was a lifelong Yankees fan; he coached and sponsored his baseball team for the Hoboken little league and grew close to mentoring the players. You could often hear John whistling the tunes of popular oldies music. He had a fun-loving personality and was a man of many talents with skills as a craftsman, gardener, and cook. John completed all sorts of home and garden projects, and his holiday feasts were always the highlight of gatherings for family and friends. Anyone could pass by John’s house and view his talents and love for decorating during the holidays. John grew into a pet lover and bonded with his cats and dogs. It was evident to all who knew John that he had many wonderful qualities, but his most admirable quality was his heart of gold, always making sure the people in his life were happy. John lived in abundance with his many adventures and travels in and around the country with his family.
John will be missed by his loving wife and best friend of 38 years, Joan Kazmierski; his four surviving children, Bridget, Angel, Jennifer, and Francesca; daughter-in-law, Ivana Kazmierski; and his many grandchildren. John is survived by his two sisters, Joanne Espaillat and Annette Aiello, niece Jamie-ann Espailliat, nephew Anthony Walenty, wife Marybeth, and his great-nieces and nephews.
John will join his loved ones in paradise, including his son, Vincent J. Kazmierski, his mother, Marie Kazmierski, and his father, Vincent Kazmierski, Sr.
The family will welcome friends at Lawton-Turso funeral Home, located at 633 Washington St, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Visitation for John will take place on Friday, January 27, from 4 pm-8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis church, located at 308 Jefferson St. Hoboken, NJ, on Saturday, January 28, at 9:30 AM. Cremation services will be private.
